big apple day 2 - after liberty

chinatown revisited

we went back chinatown to try their cheap chinese cai fan - US$4 for rice + soup + 4 dishes! okay it's not cheap if u exchange back to S$ (abt S$6.40), but it's considered cheap in nyc lahz.

as for the 4 dishes, we get to choose what we want. there's a wide variety of chinese cuisines to choose from, just like the cai fan stalls in sg lahz.

i was so amused when darling renato came back with his food...

me: *amused* why u chose all beancurd??? only 1 meat??
him: *shocked* they'r all beancurd?? i thought they're all meat!

just when i was laughing my guts out at his "cuteness", pedro came back with his food...

i nearly fainted. hahaha~

it's our fault lahz, we forgot to introduce the food to our dear ecuadorians. sorry darlings~ =P

the beancurds suck, so we girls donated some of our nicer dishes (especially meat) to those 2 poor guys.

it's evident from renato's expression that they didnt really enjoy that meal. haha~ damn funny lahz.

after lunch, we walked about at the other side of chinatown..

some rome-looking bridge thingy. okay actually i have no idea what it is, but it certainly felt very out of place to me. i mean, china & rome??

super duper oriental macdonald's. cool~

the world's local & (now) largest bank!

ting took that photo for her cousin who's working in HSBC, but i'm gonna free ride and say i took that photo for miao who's also working in HSBC now. hehe~

the 3 darlings! we love u guys deep deep and miss u guys lots lots! awwww~~

our latin-american & chinese combination was so invincible in nyc. there's lots of chinese and hispanics in nyc, and we are able to communicate with them in chinese (the girls) and spanish (the guys) respectively.

as for the rest of the population, all of us can use english. which basically means we can communicate with almost everybody in nyc! hohoho~

american museum of natural history

took a long time to find the place, but didnt stay there for long.

visitors get to look at the 3 dinosaur skeletons for free, but admission fees will be charged if u wanna see more.

we took photos with those 3 skeletons and left. cheapos. haha~

central park reservoir

the museum's right beside central park reservoir, so we just popped over to take a look.

nothing much lahz, just masses of water.

there's only 4 of them in the photo cuz renato is the photographer and i was hiding in the shades somewhere else. the weather was bloody hot can??

see, im not kidding, the sun was so bright! hahaha~

took those photos at a playground near the reservoir. we still have young hearts! wahahaha~

to end off this post..

group photo again! =)

coming up next: times square!
