big apple day 4

after breakfast, we trooped down to the flatiron building! it's one of the nyc buildings that i wanna visit, cuz it's so triangularly special. haha~

that's the flatiron from 3 angles. cool huh?

the design is understandable, cuz the building is awkwardly situated at a triangular junction (broadway and something). but it's really not an efficient use of space, kind of small inside.

it's an office building by the way, with some shops on the ground floor.

saw some military (?) training going on in madison square park when we were walking to the flatiron. getting ready for the terrorists so brazenly? haha~

it's shopping time again, this time at macy*s!

yes, really huge shopping building. it's like OG in sg, more for the aunties. the same departmental concept, but huger store area per level, and many many levels. BIG~

that's the cosmetics section, huge and grand.

we didnt buy much things from there, except the small coach bag i bought for myself and another bigger coach bag that i helped hong buy. coach is really cheap in the states, as compared to sg. plus the 11% discount for all international shoppers @ macy*s, really really cheap. hoho~

OMG, donald trump even has his own clothing line?? he really wants to poke his nose into every single industry huh. faintz~

the above is a DDD cup bra, the largest cup size i can find there. their cup size goes A, B, C, D, DD, DDD. grossly humongous, reminded me of the gargantuan boobs i came across when working at the great white. yucks~

after macy*s, we shopped in manhattan mall which is just next door. me and zen bought a pair of cheap heels there (2 for US$20). then we head on to fifth avenue for more shopping. BUT by the time we reached fifth avenue, all the shops have closed.

note to nyc tourists: fifth avenue shops close at 6pm on sundays! sigh~

it's still very early, so we decided to visit brooklyn bridge.

@ the subway station. it's a convenient place to visit, subway stops right there. but for awhile we couldnt find the bridge after we stepped out of the subway station. we were about to ask somebody for directions when one of us (i cant rem who) "intelligently" turned to look behind us..

and there it is! -_-

it was a long walk up there, with lots of people cycling and jogging along the bridge.

arriving at about 8pm, we get to watch brooklyn bridge in daylight, sunset, and nightfall. one stone kills 3 birds! hohohoho~

i kinda like the feeling the metal bars give in this photo.

there are quite a number of bridges around manhattan, but u know it's brooklyn bridge when u see the blue manhattan bridge right next to it.

the cars travelling on brooklyn bridge. a little surprised that my lousy camera is capable of taking such a photo. haha~

as zen and ting will tell u, i treat my camera harshly. swinging it carelessly, knocking it countlessly, leaving it lying around, etc. but it still hasnt broke down on me. i want a new camera! sigh~

group photo! approached 2 strangers and took 3 shots before finally deriving at this gd shot, cuz it's night time and all our amateur digicams are not adept at capturing perfect night scenary.

it's ironic that we visited brooklyn bridge but has no photos of the whole bridge. as in the bridge from afar, the whole stretch. it is quite difficult to snap a photo of the whole bridge, cuz the whole area is like high traffic expressways. so i googled for the image instead..

just a click away! hee~ pretty huh.

came across this when googling for "brooklyn bridge"..

ermz.. no comments. but i can tell u that new yorkers' still allude to the twin towers quite often.

to end off this post, wondering how the cats are that night?

change of pose. haha~

that's all for day 4!~
