romantic little italy ~

after a bout of shopping, we're finally back in manhattan, starved. so busy shopping we skipped lunch lorz. haha~

went little italy for pasta cuz greg told us we MUST try it..

it's right next to chinatown, mulberry street. stretches across a few blocks. the place is decorated in italian-flag colours everywhere, even the fire hydrants!

cute huh? the whole stretch feels very italian also, romantic lorz.

tons of italian restaurants there, all selling similar cuisines. prices are okay, except for a few award-winning restaurants.

we were kinda spoilt for choice, but finally decided on this restaurant cuz the boss was very amiable.

romantic and cosy little restaurant, suitable for a warm small get-together with close friends. there's even raycharles-lookalike crooning ballets on request! haha~

we ordered the standard spaghetti bolognaise and mussels with white wine sauce. none of us have much likings for mussels, but the boss said that's their specialty dish.

though the mussels pasta didnt look appetising, it's realliiiiiiiiii delicious! totally changed my sentiments towards mussels man.

spaghetti bolognaise was not bad too. both dishes are way better than pasta in sg, confirm.

on our way back to our hotel to retire for the night, we encountered something we've havent come across before..

rain in the big apple! it was quite annoying if it's raining in new york city and u have no brolly, cuz there's no covered walkways on the streets. result: drenched.

but alright lahz, the downpour lasted for awhile only. quite an experience though, cuz i like rain! hee~
